Highlights from 2007
Mom and Dad were out of town for conference last spring so Lane stepped in and took my brothers, Josh and Nate, to the priesthood session. What a good soon-to-be big brother!
When Lane proposed he took me on a treasure hunt, we stopped at a few special places. This is us smooching in front of our first stop, the church where we met.
One of our next stops was temple square.
Our final stop was down by the creek behind my grandparents house. A picnic lunch was waiting for us and Lane finally popped the question!
In July, Lane went with my family to Lake Powell. The guys went fishing and of course Lane caught the biggest fish, 24 inches!!
Here are a few of our engagement pictures.

And some of our wedding pictures

Me and my cute little sister!
Here are some pictures from our reception. Everyone helped out so much and it turned out wonderfu!

Lane had a special suprise for me. He sang 'Everything' by Michael Buble and he sounded great!
After we got married we stayed in Park City for a couple of nights before heading to California. We ate several times at Baja Cantina, one of Lane's favorite restuarants.
In San Diego we were just a block from the beach.
Lane especially enjoyed playing in the water....
...and in the sand,
he even survived a vicious attack by a large seaweed.
We had fun exploring old town San Diego
And trying on hats!
Lookin' good!
After the Honeymoon, life started again. We packed up and moved into our tiny apartment in Logan where we are both going to school.
In October we went on a cruise with my family. We had to take a series of airplanes, buses, trains, and shuttles to meet up with everyone. Here we are waiting for the train.
Formal Night on cruise.
Lane on Christmas Eve. What a cutie!
Christmas morning. We got spoiled on Christmas this year, it was a lot of fun to spend time with both of our families.
We went to San Diego again right after Christmas for one of Lane's mission companion's (Spencer Hubbard) wedding. Since the new year we've been busy with school and Lane has started working for Platinum Protection. We will be moving to Denver for the summer so we'll have a lot more adventures in the next few months!
In The Beginning. . .
Lane and I met on July 31, 2004 thanks to my cute cousin, Whitney, who got baptized that day. Her family lives in Lane's parents ward and lucky enough for us, Lane decided to go the baptism that day. I noticed Lane quickly (who wouldn't notice a tall, dark and handsome guy like him?) but I was much to shy to say anything so I just admired him from a distance. It wasn't until after he left that my aunt came and told me that he had asked about me. Needless to say I was extremely excited.
The next couple of months passed and one day I got an e-mail from him (he had somehow managed to bribe it out of my aunt). After that we became good friends and schemed ways that we could spend time together without it qualifying as a date (since I was only 15). In January 2005, he left on his mission to Riverside California and I went on with school. We wrote to each other every week and it was a great experience. We were able to get to know each other on a personal and spiritual basis for two years. By the time he got home in January 2007, we both had a pretty good idea of what might happen in the future.
When we first started talking about getting married, the plan was to wait until May of 2008 so that we both could get some school done and not rush into anything. Within a couple of weeks we had moved that up to December, and it only took a few days after that to decide December was too far away. We finally settled on July 31 (exactly 3 years after the day we met) and decided we could make it that far.
Lane proposed on June 2, I said yes, of course, and the rest is history!!
Ready or not here we come!
